From yesterday's article on the five players cut by the Oilers:
If I was a betting man I'd expect the next round of cuts to be announced about this same time tomorrow morning, following tonight's Oilers/Jets game.
That article was posted at noon, and at 11:32 this morning the Oilers tweeted the following:
#Oilers assign Ewanyk, Moroz, Oesterle and Simpson to @OKCBarons, place Miller on waivers for the purpose of assignment to OKC.

So I'm either the smartest man alive or these kinds of things are fairly obvious. I'll leave it to you to decide.
As for the cuts themselves, there isn't anything too surprising going on here. I thought Jordan Oesterle would have been sent to Oklahoma City with the first round of cuts, so the extra week that he spent at camp was like playing with house money. I liked what I saw from both him and Dillon Simpson during camp. This year will be their first as professionals, seeing how they played in camp makes me confident that both will be able to handle the transition fairly well.

If you're looking for something surprising it's in who's not included. I had assumed that Vladimir Tkachev's name would be on this list, likely alongside David Musil's, but both have survived to fight another day. With back-to-back games Wednesday and Thursday this week it isn't the worst idea to keep a few extra bodies around for another couple of days though. Bold prediction: more cuts will be announced on Thursday morning.
With these moves the Oilers inch close to what will be their final roster. Currently the Oilers have 22 forwards, 12 defencemen, and four goalies (Laurent Brossoit and Richard Bachman should be leaving soon) left in camp.
