After dropping to 25 the last time around Brandon Davidson finds himself in back in a familiar spot. In his nine appearances in the Top 25 Under 25 Davidson has been ranked in the 21st spot 4 of those times.

Drafted in the 6th round Davidson made his T25 debut in the 25th spot. In his draft+1 season he posted 8-44-52 in 72GP and the hopes for the young defensman (on a team in desperate need of defense) rose as did his T25 ranking when it peaked at 18. His first professional season would be a tough one. In late October 2012 Davidson was diagnosed with testicular cancer on top of that the NHL decided to take a "break" until January 2013. The combination of both situations really limited him and he was only able to appear in 26 regular season games with OKC.
Since then things have gotten back to "normal" for Davidson. He played almost the full season with OKC last year and put up some decent numbers for a defenseman 5-8-13 in 68GP.
Brandon Davidson is probably a long shot to make the Oilers in the near future (or ever). Due to guys like Martin Marincin, Oscar Klefbom, Justin Schultz and Darnell Nurse, Davidson is in a similar position to Tobias Reider a few years ago. He is going to have to leap frog a lot of talented players to get a crack at the Oilers and it's not going to be easy.
