Oilers Coaching & Front Office Turnover Since 2006

Sorting through the wreckage of the last 9 years

Off to their second-worst start in the 9 years since they made the NHL playoffs, the Edmonton Oilers fired their goaltending coach, reminding many of the time that Steve Tambellini blamed a trainer and two equipment men for his own failures.  It got us thinking about the churn the Oilers' front office and coaching staff has gone through since the team last made the playoffs.  Sure, Ken Lowe, Sparky Kulchisky and Barrie Stafford became a punchline at Steve Tambellini's expense, but they're just the tip of the iceberg.

Since 2006, the Oilers have fired:

2 General Managers (Kevin Lowe, Steve Tambellini)

2 Assistant General Managers (Kevin Prendergast, Rick Olczyk)

4 Coaches (Craig MacTavish, Pat Quinn, Tom Renney, Ralph Krueger)

3 Assistant Coaches (Charlie Huddy, Kelly Buchberger, Steve Smith)

2 Goaltending Coaches (Pete Peeters, Frederic Chabot)

2 Equipment Men (Sparky Kulchisky, Barrie Stafford)

1 Trainer (Ken Lowe)

1 Conditioning Coach (Chad Moreau)

1 Vice-President of Communications (Allan Watt)

1 Vice-President of Sales (Brad MacGregor)

1 DJ (Dragon)

Am I missing anyone?
