Oilers Recall Luke Gazdic

Finally, this is what the Oilers have been missing.

He's back, and he's ready to party.

Let's talk about the fourth line for a minute.  When's the last time the fourth line has been humming along so nicely? Boyd Gordon is probably the best true fourth line centre this team has had in a long time.  He's a bit pricey, but so is Matt Hendricks, who has been contributing nicely.  Jesse Joensuu's 2013-14 campaign is one we'd all like to forget, but he's been doing alright alongside Hendricks and Gordon.

Finally, some stability on the fourth line.  Remember when Will Acton got on the fourth line and everything went sideways for a few minutes?  No more of that.  Stability.  Finally.

Who'd want to go and mess that up?

Oh, right.

Fresh from his two week conditioning stint, the Edmonton Oilers have recalled Luke Gazdic from the OKC Barons. Eager to participate in year one of his two year contract, Gazdic will no doubt be looking to bring his flavour of pugnacity to the Oilers lineup after a year that saw him average 5:48 of ice time per game.
