Game Thread - Oilers @ Canucks

Last game of the preseason.

Anne-Marie Sorvin-USA TODAY Spor

Only days away from the start of the regular season the Oilers faceoff against the Vancouver Canucks in the final preseason game of the 2014/15 season.

When And Where

The game starts at 8:00PM and is in Vancouver at Rogers Arena

How To Tune In

The game is on TV. The Oilers Tweeted last game that the game would be broadcast on SportsNet 1 tonight but Tweeted out that it will be on SportsNet West earlier today. So I'm not 100% sure which one it will be on.

What To Watch For With The Oilers

Centres, centres and more centres. The Oilers are still short 2 legitimate NHL centres so they decided to play 7 of them tonight. It also appears that the face punchers have been removed from the lineup with maybe the exception of Will Acton who is moonlighting as winger tonight.

What To Watch For With The Canucks

Either way, the Canucks have 2 more cuts to make by Tuesday, while they're at the 23 man limit right now, that's not counting Bo Horvat and Frank Corrado, both injured at the moment. There's a possibility that the Canucks will be without a couple regulars tonight, according to the Vancouver Sun. Kevin Bieksa didn't skate yesterday, and Tom Sestito left practice early after an issue with his neck.
