Hedman Out With Hand? Injury

News via the Tampa Bay Lightning website:

Tampa Bay defenseman Victor Hedman will likely miss the rest of the Lightning's five-game road trip through Western Canada and Minnesota according to head coach Jon Cooper after suffering an undisclosed injury to his upper body in the Bolts' 4-2 victory at Vancouver.

...

Cooper wouldn't specify the nature of the injury, but when asked by reporters following the game if it was Hedman's hand, he replied "draw your own conclusions".

Raw Charge's take:

The injury appears to be to his right hand, after blocking a shot in the second period on Saturday night in Vancouver. Worst case scenario is likely a broken hand, which you'll recall from Dan Boyle recently is a 4-6 week injury.

That means he will miss road tilts against the Edmonton Oilers, Calgary Flames, Winnipeg Jets, and Minnesota wild at the very least. The soonest he would then be back would be 10 days from today on October 28th vs. the Arizona Coyotes.
