Klefbom, Marincin among the latest headed to OKC. Jujhar Khaira to Everett.

Jamie Sabau

Eight more players have been assigned by the Oilers.

Among those assigned to OKC

  • Oscar Klefbom
  • Martin Marincin
  • Brad Hunt
  • Ryan Martindale
  • Richard Bachman
  • Andrew Miller
  • Ty Rimmer
  • Jujhar Khaira will be assigned to Everett (WHL).

Some quick notes -

Defenceman Martin Marincin had a fairly productive preseason, scoring three points in two games played.  Both he and Oscar Klefbom will begin the season on the OKC blue.

Goaltender Ty Rimmer saw thirty minutes of action in last night's 5-2 Oilers victory over Vancouver, stopping 10 of 11.   Rimmer spent nearly all of his 2012-13 in Lethbridge (WHL) and he appeared in one game for Manchester (AHL).  Appearing on a tryout contract, the Edmonton native has been one of preseason's fun stories to watch.

Defenceman Brad Hunt had two assists in two games this preseason.  Hunt spent the past two seasons with Chicago (AHL) before Edmonton signed him to a two year deal.

Goaltender Richard Bachman played just under 90 minutes of ice time in two games and yielded five goals.  He'll open the season as OKC's number one.

Winger Jujhar Khaira will return to Everett (WHL)  Khaira had a nice assist on Nail Yakupov's goal in last night's victory over the Canucks.  Khaira will likely be a scoring machine with the 'Tips this coming season.
