• There's no way that Jeff Petry catches another game on the bench, is there? Simple stuff. Petry is a top two guy on this team. Put the guy in. Anton Belov's got to be in there somewhere too. Then again, Eakins has been known to leave a winning team intact, or to play the goalie with "the hot hand". Will he do the same after an 8-2 victory over the Avalanche this past Thursday? UPDATE: Petry's back in. Belov still out.  Half a surprise better than none.
• Bob Stauffer has been setting the internet ablaze of late, tweeting yesterday that Boyd Gordon was placed on IR. Gordon has been out with a list of injuries, most notably a busted knuckle and a bad back.
• Tyler Pitlick was wearing a yellow non-contact jersey on Wednesday, but participated in a full practice. You might be thinking to yourself, "self, where is there a space for Tyler Pitlick on this roster?" I can think of at least one space. Let's see if you and I are thinking about the same space.
