After the Sam Gagner on ice dental surgery performed by Zack Kassian the Oilers went crazy and claimed both Steve MacIntyre and Luke Gazdic off of waivers. That all happened even though they already had Mike Brown around to punch faces.
In the Edmonton/Calgary game Luke Gazdic fought the Flames resident knuckle dragger, Brian McGratten, and received a pat on the back from McGratten for a good fight. It would appear that the pat on the back was the final nail in Steve MacIntyre's coffin as the Oilers announced today that they have placed him on waivers.

Steve MacIntyre only played in the pre-season after a knee injury sidelined him for almost 2 months. This move doesn't come as a surprise but there is a chance that Big Mac gets claimed after this announcement yesterday.

I guess the we'll have to wait and see but if he is not claimed expect him to be assigned to OKC.
