Gagner Held Out For Another Week

Joanne Ireland reported on Sam Gagner's status via Twitter:

Sam Gagner's return has been tabled for a week. Surgeon said there was still too much tenderness in jaw. Will re-evaluate next week. #oilers

"Tenderness" A.K.A. pain, still exists in the affected area, so we wait in anticipation of the Oilers getting some much needed depth from injured reserve.

In his stead, Mark Arcobello has performed admirably, but Taylor Hall's injury has complicated matters.

When Gagner returns, expect him to slot in on the left wing initially, probably with Ryan Nugent-Hopkins Jordan Eberle, before returning to the middle in place of Arcobello:
