There's not much content to this one, just two outstanding Oilers-related items worth a second look.

First up, someone at TSN makes the suggestion that the best possible thing the Canadiens can do is to hire Kevin Lowe.

Canadiens need to hire Oilers' Lowe - TSN
When it comes to choosing who will be the next person to run the Montreal Canadiens, owner Geoff Molson says he wants someone experienced enough to handle the Montreal pressure cooker, speaks French, a proven winner and an individual obsessed with winning. Kevin Lowe makes the most sense to me.

The only thing Oilers' fans can say to his, HALLELUJAH!

And second, though much less surprising, the Oilers don't know what's going on with the CBA.

Work Continues Once Season Ends for Oilers - Coming Down the Pipe!
I tried to get clarification from the Oilers but was flatly denied. I was told that information like that was not something the NHL team would share with the media. I found that odd so placed a call to another contact employed by an NHL team and in less than 5 minutes I got the answers I needed.

The last time this topic bubbled up, the Oilers had no idea what they were doing. This time, they still have no idea, but rather than just saying "no comment", they make themselves look silly. Again. A pre-law student could figure these things out, and if not, other teams have competent men who can get an answer in less than five minutes.

And you want to be my latex salesman.

Do these gaffes filter up to Daryl Katz? How is it possible that they do and the current group is still employed? I'm partial to a letter-writing campaign like this.

I like how the fellas at Coming Down The Pipe! have become the best investigative sports journalists in Edmonton with the simple Modus Operandi of asking questions, not parroting the company line. Congrats guys - you do great work.
