Brandon Davidson, the Oilers' 6th round selection in the 2010 NHL Draft and a rookie pro this season with the Oklahoma City Barons has been diagnosed with Testicular Cancer.
The Barons made the announcement earlier today via their official website and indicated that Davidson is slated to begin treatment immediately. He will be treated at the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center campus at the Peggy and Charles Stephenson Cancer Center.
Davidson is a native of Lethbridge, AB.
The impacts of this development on the OKC Barons roster can be debated at another time and place. For the time being, the primary and only concern is with the Davidson's ability to get healthy and live a long and happy life.
On behalf of everyone here at Copper & Blue, we would like to send our best wishes to Brandon Davidson and his family and wish Brandon a full and complete recovery.
