NHL Midseason Awards: Henrik Lundqvist, Adam Henrique, Dave Bolland Among Winners - SBNation.com
Thanks to the mainstream media, the hockey world's primary storylines in the first half were the impact of concussions and the NHL's new discipline policy. The focused coverage allowed a number of surprising team and individual stories to slip through the cracks. Our midseason awards reflect the quiet rise of a number of teams and players.
NHL Power Rankings - SBNation.com
The lack of real NHL players and organizational depth is killing the Oilers for the third year in a row.
A Look at the Devils' PDO At the Halfway Mark - In Lou We Trust
From the Data, I'd like to note that the Devils have never had a PDO over 1000 (or on the chart, 1) once this season. This is pretty interesting and for me, somewhat unsurprising. The low PDO interests me because they've managed to succeed so far this year despite not benefitting from luck. It also interests me because the Devils recent success seems sustainable- their PDO has been nearing 1000 over the last couple of games. Their record in their last 10? 6-3-1.
New Jersey Devils Prospect Update: Top 20 - In Lou We Trust
As a note, for my rankings I utilize players drafted by the Devils who have not exhausted their rookie eligibility. Other lists you might see out there may still have Adam Larsson, Adam Henrique, etc. I feel it's easier to have a simple line in the sand: No longer a rookie, not eligible for the list. I also do not include players who are on AHL only deals like Joe Whitney, Brian Haczyk and Nathan Perkovich.
Talking Red: Season 2, Episode 16, Doc Emrick Interview - In Lou We Trust
The episode is highlighted by an interview with Mike "Doc" Emrick. He talks about some of his favorite Devils memories, how he became the announcer he is today and addresses Chico's 10 hot dog night in Montreal plus much more. The crew also talk about the 4 Devils games this week and the coaches' changes to the power play and the third and fourth line.

Nikolai Khabibulin
G 42 Devils at Oilers - Lowetide
Steve Tambellini could help this team by adding a veteran defenseman now. I understand the hope is that Ryan Whitney is going to be available in the fall but counting on it is unwise. Adding a defender now, and another in the summer, would put a smile on the face of many Oiler fans. That defender may be unavailable now, but two in the summmer should be the plan.
Nikolai Khabibulin Had A Great Run. It’s Been Over For A While Now - Cult of Hockey
What has been concerning is that since that first regulation loss, Khabibulin’s play has dipped sharply.
