Updated: 2012 NHL Draft Consensus Top 30

  • 13 defensemen in the top 30 and 6 in the top 10. It's probably unrealistic, but it sets up well for the Oilers - a team without.
  • The top 30 consists of 15 Canadians, 7 Americans, 3 Swedes, 2 Russians, 1 Latvian, 1 Finn, and 1 Czech.
  • I believe this top 30 is going to change significantly -- the average size of his top 30 is smaller than previous years and big guys tend to shoot up the rankings.
  • 10 of the 15 Canadians come from the OHL, 4 from the WHL and 1 from the QMJHL.
