It was at about this time that the Sharks conquered the Pacific division for the sixth time. And it so happened that this time around the Sharks had tried to keep expectations low by dogging it through the first several months of the season. Indeed, it was only in these last two months that the Sharks had done their pillaging in earnest, having been awakened from their slumber after a loss to the lowliest of teams. They savagely beat the Kings, Coyotes, Stars, and Ducks; they tortured the men from other divisions; and they laid waste to teams as far away as the Eastern time zone. But expectations weren't dampened. In fact, all of their people prayed that this would be a good omen for the post-season. Alas, this last run of victories has only served to raise expectations so that the Sharks can fulfill their choking destiny.
The game starts at 7:00 today, but I'll be enjoying a pleasant evening with a fine young lady. Jewels from the Crown will have a live GDT for those who don't have the good luck that I do. That said, I suppose now that I'm four games behind I'd best get on my horse and start logging some scoring chances!
