For All The Cows - Flames 5, Hawks 2 - Second City Hockey
So now that they've lost, it's alright to sit the immoble, but somehow pinch-happy John Scott, right? RIGHT? PLEASE?!

Blackhawks (12-5-3) vs Oilers (9-7-2) - 11/19 - 9:00 PM
"We've said it before that you're not going to play your best game every night," Toews said. "We've been flying around and everything's falling for you. You're going to run into a team that's ticked off and eager to get better like Calgary and things won't be easy for you. We made it easy for them with the turnovers and little mistakes we made."

Lindbloom: False Summits and Surprise Lake - The Third Man In
As we "look back over the distance we have come," the view isn’t all that bad. Although we’ve played a few more games than others, we stand atop the NHL in total points at the moment. Recall one week ago we were screaming for immediate and significant changes – instead we got Monty powered up like the Red Power Ranger and a steady diet of Fluffy on our third line d-pairing. That reminds me of that saying, "Be careful what you ask for, you just might get it." Change certainly can be a double-edged sword.

Taylor Hall - Shawn Horcoff - Ryan Jones
Magnus Paajarvi - Sam Gagner - Ales Hemsky
Ryan Smyth - Ryan Nugent-Hopkins - Jordan Eberle
Anton Lander - Eric Belanger - Ben Eager

Ladislav Smid - Tom Gilbert
Theo Peckham - Jeff Petry
Taylor Chorney - Colten Teubert

G19 Hawks at Oilers - Lowetide
Coach Renney finally started looking at some different lines in practice yesterday. Reports had the tune going something like this (courtesy Gregor's twitter): RNH-Smyth-Eberle Horcoff-Hall-Jones Gagner-Paajarvi-Hemsky Belanger-Eager-Petrell-Lander-Hordichuk rotating I'd be thrilled with that top 9, but doubt we see it for long if at all. NHL coaches love their veterans and I suspect we'll see Horcoff and Smyth together at the slightest sign of trouble. And with a defense that boasts two new hires due to injury, trouble bought a suite to be near the action.

GAME DAY: Blackhawks @ Oilers - Oil On Whyte
The Kid Line has been shook down. Taylor Hall will play tonight with Horcoff and Ryan Jones on line three, while Ryan Smyth gets promoted to the first line with Nugent-Hopkins and Jordan Eberle. Smyth has been the most productive Oiler up to today, scoring eighteen points in eighteen games. I predicted Ryan Smyth’s point total to fall somewhere in the forties this year, he’s well on his way to eclipsing that number as we speak.

Game Day "Blackhawks' Oilers Jambalaya
And what's it say to sit Petrell and leave Eager in? Who now plays Petrell's spot on the PK? Eager? I don't think so. This whole thing is really messed up. On the other hand, it's not like Tambo has tied Renney's hands when it comes to a fully stacked line up. Or has he?
