Kent Follows Robert Out the Door

Word today that Kent Nilsson, the Oilers' amateur scout in Europe since 1995-96, has left the organization. With his son Robert being bought out and many long-time employees being shoved out the door, Nilsson's departure shouldn't come as a big surprise. The most surprising part may be that it was his decision, though in fairness to Nilsson, the Oilers have drafted some very promising prospects out of Europe over the last few seasons including Magnus Paajarvi-Svensson, Anton Lander, Linus Omark, and Teemu "Has Derek's" Hartikainen.
