Oilers’ Souray willing to waive no-trade clause

Oilers defenceman Sheldon Souray said Friday he is open to waiving his no-trade clause if the team needs to deal him to improve its fortunes. My off-season trade involved Souray, and I still think Dallas is the ideal destination. Niskanen has fallen out of favor there. Niskanen coming back with a pick and prospect frees up a heckuva lot of cap room. Dallas is at the self-imposed cap, but they have plenty of cap room to play with and the Oilers could take an expiring contract off of their hands.
