It didn't take long for AHL journeyman T.J. Kemp to find a home- the Pittsburgh Penguins signed the offensive defenseman to a minor-league deal earlier today.
Kemp had an effective offensive season in 2007-08 for Springfield, and a much less effective defensive season. With the influx of puck-moving prospects (Hrabal, Chorney, Wild) and the return to health of Sebastien Bisaillon, there really wasn't any room for him on Springfield's roster.
Best of luck in Pittsburgh, Mr. Kemp.
