Scouting Update

Jonathan Huntington updates us on teams scouting the Camrose Kodiaks, the team of Joe Colborne. He states that both Peter Chiarelli of Boston, and Columbus GM Scott Howson came to watch the Kodiaks' last game. Chiarelli spoke highly of Colborne and talked to the forward, while Howson wasn't quoted in the article. Columbus has the 19th pick.

As for the Oilers, the article says the following:
The Edmonton Oilers are keeping tabs on Camrose captain Owen Chatwin, Sun Media has learned. Chatwin will likely attend an NCAA Division III college next fall.

This season the 6'0, 185lb forward scored 17 points and 181 PIMs in 46 games. He's also an overage player, born in '87, who was first eligible for the 2006 NHL Entry Draft. If they are interested in him, my guess would be as a late round pick ala Kyle Brodziak.
