Scouting Joe Colborne

The Edmonton Sun has an article up today on the Camrose Kodiaks, who are playing in the RBC Cup, and it mentions the following:

The Edmonton Oilers had two scouts sitting high in the stands yesterday trying to determine if Camrose's Joe Colborne deserves to be a first-round pick in this spring's NHL draft.
"That's why we are here," quipped one scout.
The scouts will also watch Camrose today before leaving Cornwall. Another Oilers scout is due to arrive later this week.

Joe Colborne is a player who a few commenters over at Lowetide's site have suggested as a guy the Oilers should draft. Here is what Illegal Curve had to say about him. RedLine report has him projected to go at 20th overall, pretty close to where the Oilers will be picking. Next season he will attend the University of Denver.

As for what the Oilers scouts saw, Colborne had an assist on the powerplay game-winner in a 5-1 win.
