Steven Reinprecht is on waivers as per Bob McKenzie. He's not the checking center he once was, but he's an able-bodied veteran and certainly an upgrade on Ryan O`Marra, but at $2,050,000 he's more than twice O`Marra's salary.

Ebbett was waived earlier in the season by Anaheim. Might it make sense for Edmonton to claim him and use him in the fourth line center role?

By the New York Islanders. This is probably the best-case scenario for Schremp; a lousy team, desperately short of offensive talent (compounded by the recent injuries to Doug Weight and Kyle Okposo) and willing to put up with all sorts of deficincies to get some scoring. I've ragged on him a fair bit, but I have to confess that I'm eager to see what Schremp can do in the big league. I'd guess 40 points, 25 of them on the powerplay, and a minus-15 rating.
