SB Nation's The Cannon with a look at the affiliate change in Columbus. Considering the prospects in the organization and the man in charge in Columbus, fans in Springfield should be pretty happy about this change.
"We had a faceoff with 35 seconds left in overtime (and couldn’t get the puck out of the zone)"
--Devan Dubnyk, on the Oilers Falcons woes.
Springfield is now 11-21-8 and in last place. It's catching, this.
The Oilers have been pretty bad of late, but then again their farm team is even worse.
The Springfield Falcons have lost 15 straight games, 11 of them in regulation. Two more losses will put them 0-for-December; they haven't won since November 21st, and have won by more than a single goal only four times all season.
