Tyler's got a great post up on the plight of UFA goaltenders this summer - basically that there are a whole bunch of 1A/1B types out there (and Khabibulin, of course) and there are very, very few possible destinations for them.
He's right; and there's absolutely no reason for the Oilers to a) give Roloson a two-year deal or b) run with a less than competent duo.
