If the Oilers are going to make the playoffs this season a lot of things will need to happen. One of those things is more Dubnyk and less Khabibulin.

In the spirit of August optimism then I think it's time too look at a few things that need to happen for the Oilers to be anywhere near the playoffs as the seasons nears its conclusion. One of the things I think will be a key factor in the Oilers climbing the standings and making a run at the playoffs this season is being better against the Northwest Division rivals.
