Fedorov, Malkin, Kulemin, Emelin and Afinogenov scored for Russia with Ovechkin and Semin picking up assists on Fedorov's goal. Russia beats Belarus 4-1: Ovechkin 1 G, Varlamov 19 S

Ovechkin scored his third goal of the World Championships and Varlamov made 19 saves in his first game since the Capitals were eliminated as Russia defeated Belarus in the final game of the preliminary round. Russia will face Germany next. Photographs Stat Sheet
