Philippe Cornet survived the first round of cuts at the Canadian WJC camp. Tyler Seguin, however, was sent home. We talked to Cornet about life in Rouyn here. Cornet's chances of making the team have improved with TSN reporting that Scott Glennie being sidelined by a concussion.

Cornet previously talked to me about how well he and Eberle played together. Eberle continues to dominate the WHL and Cornet is scoring well and just won player of the week honors in the QMJHL. Cornet is still an underdog to make the team though, while Eberle should be on any top line the Canadians roll out.
