The Edmonton Oilers might be considering the possibility of relocating to Seattle.
Last season Jordan Eberle, in his second in the league, blew away expectations by scoring 34 goals and adding 42 assists for 76 points in 78 games. Today the Oilers rewarded him with a six-year contract worth $36 million.
We may not know when the NHL will begin the season, or even if there will be a season, but we now know that when/if the season starts the Oilers won't have to think about what to do with Linus Omark because he'll be playing with EV Zug in Switzerland
This morning the Oilers announced via Twitter that Taylor Hall has agreed to terms on a seven-year extension worth a total of $42M or an average of $6M per season. As far as I'm concerned this is a good deal for the Oilers.
