- A 5-4 loss to Nashville on a questionable offsides call is what we are dealing with this Monday morning. Edmonton scored four goals, and they came back from a 4-2 deficit. Connor McDavid scored his 21st goal of the season (and his 70th point), and the Oilers also got two power play goals from Milan Lucic and Mark Letestu. Jordan Eberle scored his thirteenth of the year to bring the Oilers to a 4-4 tie at the end of the second period. Getting four goals is great. Allowing five, less so.
- Focus. Yes, that's Calgary in your rearview. It's gonna be OK. Calgary's doin' just fine right now, having won their last four in a row, including a 3-1 victory over the Hurricanes last night. And while their next three games look pretty good if you're a Flames fan (LA, DET, NYI), if the Oilers just focus on doin' their thing (like defeating St. Louis tomorrow), things will work themselves out.
- The WIld acquired Martin Hanzal and Ryan White from the Coyotes for a small fortune.
- This made Shane Doan angry. He'll unwind by hitting someone in the numbers.
- The Kings traded Peter Budaj to the Lightning for Ben Bishop. It is a buyer's market for goaltenders right now. That's different than a seller's market, Jim Benning.
- Two more days until the trade deadline. Join us at Copper and Blue for full coverage of Wednesday's deals, heels, and squeals.
