Ready for hockey? Of course you are, masochist. After the Young Stars tournament but before the regular season, you've got a bevy of preseason games to dip your biscuits in.
The Oilers' preseason schedule was released today, and it goes a little something like this.
7 PM Monday September 26th: Oilers vs. Flames - Split Squad
8 PM Wednesday September 28th: Oilers @ Canucks
6 PM Friday September 30th: Oilers @ Jets
TBD Sunday October 2nd: Oilers @ Kings (from Lumley, BC)
7 PM October 4th: Ducks @ Oilers
7 PM October 6th: Jets @ Oilers
7 PM October 8th: Canucks @ Oilers
The Oilers open the regular season at Rogers Place on Wednesday, October 12th.
No doubt, there'll be a handful of stories to talk about this preseason. Will the Oilers offer James Wisniewski a contract? Will Jujhar Khaira push for a spot on the club? How about Drake Caggiula? Griffin Reinhart? Does Jonas Gustavsson make it to the first game of the season? Should I invest in bottles, or cans?
Oilers hockey can't come soon enough.
