What a crazy day we may all be in for. Or, of course, nothing could happen and the Oilers could just use their five picks and head home to work on their plans for July 5th. Right now though, it certainly doesn't feel like that's very likely.
TSN's Ryan Rishaug must have felt right at home on Saturday at the draft because even though he was working on a broadcast with league-wide implications, every other sentence he spoke was seemingly about the Oilers and GM Craig MacTavish. James Duthie referred to the Oilers as the #1 most active team in an Insider Trading segment on Saturday night.
Bottom line, Craig MacTavish is trying his best to live up to his word of aggressively changing over the Oilers' roster and the draft appears to be where he intends to make his first major attempt to accomplish that task.
We won't get into the specific rumours here because by the time the list is written, the reported names and prices will have already changed, but what we will do is list the names of the players who the Oilers have been attached to discussions for (by a credible news source) as well as some of the Oiler players who could be on the move and some of the potential Oiler draft targets in the first couple of rounds.

You can find a description of the work here, and a listing of thee draft-eligible CHL forwards who are potential first rounders here.
Please join us here all day in the comments as the C&B staff will be in and out to comment on all of the day's news Oilers-related and otherwise as the Oilers will no doubt have some new assets to evaluate and discuss before the day is through.
