Game preview: Outside of Sedin-Sedin-Burrows, Vancouver's forward lineup looks like an AHL squad. The defense is still very good, and they have an excellent goaltender, though he's on the bench for this one. If Krueger was smart, he would isolate that Sedin line against a tough minutes line with Horcoff and Hemsky and let Hall bury Andrew Ebbett, if that's a real player.
Derek Roy is on the roster and gives the Canucks a very interesting look. He's an all-zones centre and can take the same sort of load that Ryan Kesler takes when healthy, meaning the Canucks have a second line again. They've stayed at the top of the division despite missing 2/3 of their expect 2nd line for much of the season. The Oilers struggled against Roy when he was in Dallas, if they struggle again tonight, they may be in deep.Report:
