It was a Carnival shooting game for the Oilers, setting up open nets and connecting on ridiculous one-timers.
ES Corsi was tied 17-17 in 3rd, Oilers take it 45-40. Smid +10, Petry +8, Hall/Ebs/RNH/Yak/Jones/Gagner +5. Whitney -11, Brown -8, JSch -4.

"The Oilers flat-out dominated this game. Yes, it was against the Flames, and yes, the Oilers did allow the first two goals, but (this is the important part) they scored eight. The Oilers outscored, outchanced, and outshot the Flames in this game, and Joey MacDonald had to suffer through it all. The Oilers played a complete game and man did it feel pretty good."

Final scoring chances: 30-14. I hope this doesn't discourage Ty Garner for the rest of his career

via bookofloob, Flames Nation:
"After an exceedingly long day mired by the pomp and circumstance surrounding the NHL's silly season, the Trade Deadline Day, you could understand if the Flames took their eye off the prize for a night and faltered against their bitter rivals for the second time in 3 nights."
