Top Story: Calgary is having a firesale which will probably overshadow the game this evening and hopefully result in hilarity in Toronto at some point. Edmonton is on a roll, but shooting 80% in the first 15 minutes of each game probably isn't going to continue for long. The same underlying issues are still there, but they're being covered by the greatness of Taylor Hall. Edmonton needs defensive help and a legitimate centre if they want to challenge St. Louis for 8th.
The Oilers are saying:
"When your body doesn't hurt as much, it makes it more fun."
--Nikolai Khabibulin, on his body.
The Opponent is saying:
"To be quite honest, you tell me if the place was rocking before the game today. It was pretty dead out there"
--Matt Stajan, the Saddledome.
Calgary could play in old Chicago Stadium, but as long as they're getting the worst goaltending in the league, it won't matter.
Key matchup: Taylor Hall getting early goals so that the Oilers don't have to play a 50/50 game for three periods.
