Team Reports

Oilers Report : The seventh consecutive season out of the playoffs is mercifully close to breathing its dying breath. The Oilers have lost their last three and are winners of just one in their last ten, but a victory tonight would force the Wild to win tomorrow against Colorado to make the playoffs.

Wild Report : The Wild are playing for what we cannot have. A victory in either tonight's game or tomorrow's versus the Avalanche would secure Minnesota a playoff berth. The Wild could also secure a playoff berth with two overtime/shootout losses in that span. Failure to amass at least two points in their remaining games would allow Columbus the chance to sneak into eighth place should the Blue Jackets defeat Nashville tomorrow.

Expected Line Combinations

Magnus Paajarvi - Sam Gagner - Jordan Eberle
Taylor Hall - Shawn Horcoff - Nail Yakupov
Ryan Jones- Eric Belanger - Anton Lander
Ryan Smyth - Jerred Smithson - Mike Brown

Ladislav Smid - Jeff Petry
Nick Schultz - Corey Potter
Mark Fistric - Justin Schultz

Nikolai Khabibulin

By The Numbers

  • 33 - In three meetings this year, the Wild have 33 more shots on goal than the Oilers.
  • 70 - The amount of points the Oilers project to over an 82 game season if they fail to collect any points over their final two games. (The Oilers had 74 points in 82 games last year. How's that for improvement?)
