No, this isn't simply a reference to my allegiance to the Oilers come hell-or-high-water...
I just got back from vacation and was trying to catch up on some Oilers news (I resisted doing any Oilers-watching from the beach to preserve my attempt at relaxation) and read this today at Yahoo, referencing last night's 3-0 victory over St. Louis:
Coach Ralph Krueger called it the team's "most complete game of the year."
Did we get out-hit, owned in the circle, and outshot 43-19? I mean, I love the young gunzTM hitting the scoresheet - that's a given - and that the dinosaur shut the door, but on what planet do those numbers constitute the most complete game of the year? Somebody please tell me that's not where we're at here, or that Freddie K. was being ironic, or something. Anyone?
Or should I simply know better and put the jacket on now.
