Devan Dubnyk was leveled by Teemu Hartikainen, then had his groin pulled hard by Marian Hossa. But it was all for the better.
Devan Dubnyk was injured tonight when teammate Teemu Hartikainen ran over his own goaltender at the midpoint of the second period. Hartikainen was back trying to defend Marian Hossa, who caught his skate on Dubnyk's pad and seemed to extend Dubnyk's groin in the collision. Dubnyk was face down on the ice for a minute or so, then got to his knees to be tended to by the training staff. Yann Dnais was called on to replace Dunyk for the last half of the game.goaltender
Dubnyk left the ice under his own power and didn't seem to be seriously injured, but being as he is an Edmonton Oiler, we're wait for official word before jumping the gun. Oilers' coach Ralph Krueger seemed to be confident that Dubnyk will be back soon:
