The World according to Corsi. A little middish point analysis on the Oilers. Who are the Top 12 Forwards, and who are the Top 6 Defensemen, I am using relative Corsi for this. Essentially the concept is that Relative to the rest of their teammates this is hw well they perform. So these are the best of the Oilers this year. Mike Brown is scewd a bit by his time in Toronto.

Line #1 Jordan Eberle - Taylor Hall - Ryan Nugent Hopkins (No surprise here, this is in order of Relative Corsi - yes Eberle is #1) Line #2 Magnus Paajarvi - Nail Yakupov - Sam Gagner (Lander actully fits in here, but he played less than 5 games, so didn't count him.) Line #3 Teemu Hartikainen - Shawn Horcoff - Ales Hemsky (Teemu is actually ahead of Gagner, but needed a centre up) Line #4 Ryan Smyth - Mike Brown - Ryan Jones (We'll call Smyth the centre on this line as he has played Centre numerous times this year.)

Defense Pair #1 Nick Schultz - Justin Schultz (This was a shock. Theo Peckham is actually #1 on the Oilers but again under 5 games.) Defense Pair #2 Ladislav Smid - Jeff Petry (About right.) Defense Pair #3 Corey Potter - Mark Fistric

So there we have it the Oilers line up according to Corsi. What if the Oilers dressed their team for the next 5 games according to Corsi - would they do better???
