North Dakota needed more from Dillon Simpson, he responded.

via North Dakota Sports Information Director Jayson Hajdu:

  • North Dakota is in the midst of a stretch in which it has lost just once in the last seven games (4-1-2), with all seven of those games coming against nationally-ranked opponents. That seven-game stretch also coincides with Dillon Simpson being moved up to the top defensive pairing with senior captain and Toronto Maple Leafs draft pick Andrew MacWilliam.
  • Since January 4th, a 14 game span, Dillon is tied for 7th among NCAA defensemen in points with 12 and is tied for second in assists with 11. North Dakota has played 12 nationally-ranked opponents in that 14-game span.
  • During that same 14-game stretch since January 4th, North Dakota's power play - Dillon plays the point on the No. 1 unit - ranks 3rd in the country at 29.8%. Of his 12 points in the last 14 games, 6 have come on the power play.
