I was listening to Bob Stauffer today when he said something that caught my attention.

If you listen here: Load up the 2nd bit called "February 13th - Hockey Chat" and start playing around 12:25 left (counter counts down, not up)

What first caught my attention is that Bob finally sees that teams need 3 scoring lines and not "truculence" "grit" "etc" (9:45 left). Secondly, when discussing the Oilers D, he said that only Shultz the Younger and Petry can move the puck with any ability (both skating and passing) (7:50 left)

He then compared them to Dallas' D, whom he said all 6 players could move the puck. Then at 7:13 left when he talking about the Oilers D next year he said:

"I think they will be able to sign a guy... a left shot guy...if they're lucky its a guy like Streit....and if not they may have to go to Europe and bring somebody back..that's maybe been here before that might be able to help them out.....(changes tone) ..now I'm not... keep that in mind for down the road..."

I think Bob knows things that are not widely known because he's with the team every day, so he's bound to hear things. I also think Bob lets things out from time to time when he's excited.

Listen to the clip and make up your own mind. There isn't another player who really fits what Bob said except Denis Grebeshkov.

Hope he's right.
