After getting punched in the face Ben Eager is diagnosed with a concussion.
First Nikolai Khabibulin starts the season on the injured reserve and now Ben Eager is sidelined with a concussion. Maybe, just maybe, the Oilers luck is changing when it comes to injuries.
Krueger also notes that Ben Eager has been diagnosed with a concussion.

It's safe to assume that Eager suffered the concussion in his third period fight with Zack Kassian in Vancouver on Sunday night. The video shows Kassian landing a few really good lefts at the start of the fight that not only split Eager open but also seem to have now knocked him out of the lineup.
Unfortunately for Eager a concussion is not a new experience for him. As you might recall Eager started his Oilers career on the injured reserve after suffering a concussion during train camp when he was hit by Kirill Tulupov. With two concussions in two years, the Oilers will want to be careful with this one.
Eager's injury should be very good news for Magnus Paajarvi who replaced Eager in the Oilers lineup on Tuesday night. The Oilers weren't very good that night but Paajarvi was one of the bright spots. He was skating fast and was quick on the forecheck. Paajarvi is the forgotten part of the Oilers rebuild but he can absolutely play, he just needs to be given an opportunity. Hopefully this will be that opportunity.
