The opposing view:
Canucks Army, Nucks Misconduct

Top Story: It's apparently the biggest story in the history of the NHL - Roberto Luongo started the season on the bench, but was called on after a terrible Corey Schneider start against Anaheim. Read more.

Lineups: Marc Fistric starts the season in the press box, according to coach Ralph Krueger:

Meaning the defensive pairings shape up like this:

Ladislav Smid - Jeff Petry

Nick Schultz - Justin Schultz

Ryan Whitney - Corey Potter

Though, the Oilers official Twitter account has flipped those two top pairings.

The same Twitter account also lists the lines as follows (intially listed Hemsky on the LW and Yakupov on the RW, but since corrected):

Ryan Smyth - Shawn Horcoff - Teemu Hartikainen

Taylor Hall - Ryan Nugent-Hopkins - Jordan Eberle

Nail Yakupov - Sam Gagner - Ales Hemsky

Ben Eager - Eric Belanger - Lennart Petrell

though the Hall line is listed as the first line. Ales Hemsky is playing an off wing. Magnus Paajarvi is missing from the lineup, as the Oilers sacrifice skill for toughness with Ben Eager.

The Opponent is saying:

I didn't think the Canucks' biggest problem last night was defence, I thought it was an inability to control the puck hurt. Remember, if you have the puck, it means the other team doesn't, so not having guys like Ryan Kesler or David Booth in the lineup hurts, since they're good at that sort of stuff. Andrew Ebbett needs to be better. Henrik Sedin needs to be better. Maxim Lapierre needs to be better. The forward group needs to be better at setting up chances inside the scoring zone.

--Cam Charron, Canucks Army

Key matchup: Ralph Kreuger vs. Alain Vigneault. If Krueger is going to run his lines like this, there is no power line to match against the Sedins and the Canucks will look to exploit this when they can.
