Happy Trails, Eric Rodgers!

As is our custom around here, we're proud to announce that one of our writers is leaving us. And as is our custom around here, that writer is leaving for greener pastures. Eric Rodgers, our Oklahoma City-based Barons' correspondent has accepted a job with the Oklahoma City Barons as their Social Media Coordinator.

We unabashedly stole Eric from Oilers Jambalaya because our readers wanted more Barons recaps, news and analysis and Eric delivered. Week-in and week-out, Eric delivered his reports on Linus Omark, Teemu Hartikainen, Yann Danis, Colten Teubert and more. The Barons noticed the work and Eric began some in-game scorer's work for the radio broadcast this season. We were proud to hear his name mentioned on air, knowing that The Copper & Blue had once again launched yet another professional media career.

From the Armed Forces to the internet to a job with a professional sports franchise - his isn't the path to the original American dream, but he got there nonetheless.

Good luck Eric, and thank you for all that you've written for us. Your voice here at C&B will be greatly missed.
