He's doing much better. Swelling has gone down, he's got a clear head, he had a good night's sleep. All that being said, I would call it doubtful for Thursday, which I don't think would surprise anyone. If you talked to Taylor he would say he's hopeful, but we'll see.

That's Tom Renney talking about Taylor Hall, who was injured when Corey Potter jumped on his head during warm-up.

But can he pass the challenging Renney fitness test?

Isn’t it obvious by now that the evil price of Corey Potter’s new contract was for him to aid Tambellini in sabotaging the team? First there was that stupid tripping penalty in the last minute of the NJ game; now he takes out the one player standing between the Oil and thirtieth place. It’s clear to me that Corey Potter is Steve Tambellini’s man on the inside. Look for him to next to ply Khabibulin with vodka and then challenge him to a race down Whyte Avenue. Mind you, that might actually help the team.

Khabi’s contract is for the same purpose, it’s just worth more because he can help lose way more games than Potter can.

Holy Hell, does Potter sharpen his skates to razor-like sharpness? Still wants to play like that? I think a psychotic evaluation for Hall is in order. Crazy.

Shut him down until the stitches are out. There’s no benefit to playing him right now, especially with his eye nearly closed shut.

In theory, there is little difference between practice and theory, but in practice there is!

No to mention, he won’t see a shoulder check to the head coming his way. Hall wants to add concussion to the list of injuries he’s had.
