Our friend dohfos has the latest on Klefbom's condition from Färjestads BK:
Klefbom is ok. He was up at the office an hour ago and looked fit and fresh.
dohfos also has some thoughts on Klefbom's early-season status as the SEL season kicks off.
After two injuries during the preseason, Klefbom just needs some luck. His leg laceration was followed by a shoulder to the chin and as dohfos reports, Klefbom lost his lid and hit his head on the ice. I hope the SEL or at least Färjestads is using the latest concussion protocols so Oilers' fans don't have to suffer through yet another injury-prone prospect's development ruined by nagging injuries and misdiagnosis.
Klefbom's good news follows the bad news that Colten Teubert was sent home to Edmonton after getting KO'ed in a fight Sunday night. The official word is "bell rung", which is sports speak for a Grade I concussion. Both Teubert and team representatives have danced around a concussion diagnosis and have used the word "precaution" a number of times, but Teubert should be expected to miss some camp time at a minimum.
