Major Junior is in full swing, the USHL's kickoff tournament starts next week and the European leagues are about to go full steam. What does it all mean? The 2012 NHL Draft lists are out and we're building a consensus list with as many sources as possible.
The sources for the consensus list are Redline Report, Future Considerations, ISS, McKeens, Dan Sallows, Craig Button, Hockey Prospectus, and The Scouting Report.

- 13 defensemen in the top 30 and 6 in the top 10. It's probably unrealistic, but it sets up well for the Oilers - a team without.
- The top 30 consists of 15 Canadians, 7 Americans, 3 Swedes, 2 Russians, 1 Latvian, 1 Finn, and 1 Czech.
- I believe this top 30 is going to change significantly -- the average size of his top 30 is smaller than previous years and big guys tend to shoot up the rankings.
- 10 of the 15 Canadians come from the OHL, 4 from the WHL and 1 from the QMJHL.
