Predators Sign Zack Stortini
Thus begins Zack Stortini's climb back to the NHL. This is a two-way contract that will pay Stortini $550,000 with the Predators and $75,000 when he's in the minors. The Predators have just thirteen forwards on their NHL roster (either signed or RFA), so at this point, he seems to have a decent chance at making the team with a good showing in camp. If he ends up in the AHL, the Predators already have enforcer Ryan Flynn under contract, so that should give Stortini the freedom to focus on developing the other parts of his game. Stortini gave his all for the Oilers in his time here, and I wish him nothing but the best in Nashville.
