Steve Tambellini Talks the Ryans at the Draft

Steve Tambellini looked road weary addressing the media and wasn't eager to talk Smytty Photo by Lisa McRitchie all rights reserved

The phrase is to always be prepared, or something like that. I wish I could say that that is how I was for the first round of the 2011 NHL entry draft, but sadly no. I was taking a video of Steve Tambellini addressing the media following the conclusion of the first round.  Things seemed to be going just fine when the worst happened, my memory card was full so my camera refused to film anything else. It was not all bad, as I was able to capture Tambellini discussing the Ryans, Ryan Nugent Hopkins and Ryan Smyth.

If you look closely, or really if you just listen you can tell how Tambellini felt discussing each Ryan. All I know for sure is that there were an awful lot of long faces when the words was Smyth to Calgary. As soon as that turned around, people were happy again. If this deal is nearly done, but they wanted to make sure that Ryan Nugent Hopkins got his day in the sun, good for them, they do have hearts. If on the other hand, they are just toying with the emotions of a fan base who may or may not be mentally fragile at this point in time, SHAME!
