Via the always observant Bruce McCurdy comes today's numbers:
Against the Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday the Liam Reddox - Andrew Cogliano - Alexandre Giroux line was excellent, and the underlying numbers reflected that. They posted in-game Corsi totals of:
| Reddox +13 / Cogliano +11 / Giroux +10 |
In McCurdy's game review, he wrote of that line:
Oilers' best forward in this one... ...compete level was top notch... ...A real solid night's work...
Against the Washington Capitals on Wednesday, the same line was overwhelmed from the opening puck drop and the underlying numbers reflected that. They posted in-game Corsi totals of:
| Reddox -13 / Cogliano -11 / Giroux -10 |
In the Caps game review, he wrote of that same line:
Made a bad first impression with a horrible back pass... ...his line had none of the edge they displayed last night...
This statistical coincidence is the best example of consistent inconsistency I've ever seen.
