In what was likely his Edmonton swan song, Jim Vandermeer entertained the home crowd by taking on Milan Lucic in a slugfest.  Vandermeer received a standing ovation for his efforts and part of that had to be because of the giant grin that appeared on his face after he staggered and dazed Lucic with successive right hands.  Vandermeer wore that grin to the penalty box.
